Nigerian Lawmakers Ask Buhari-led Government To Declare National Emergency On Ritual Killings

The House of Representatives has called for the declaration of a national emergency on ritual killings across the country.

This formed part of the resolutions reached by the lawmakers on a motion of urgent public importance entitled, “Need to Curb the Rising Trend of Ritual Killings in Nigeria.”

In recent times, ritual-related killings have become a subject of concern in the country, particularly among the youths.

Four teenage boys were recently caught burning the head of a girl said to be in a relationship with one of them for money ritual in Oke Aregba area of Abeokuta, Ogun State.
